Design Philosophy:
Ever wanted to go down a road but had to turn back because your equipment let you down? Ever flown in to a remote and beautiful location and wished you had your canoe with you? This is why we put our heads together and designed the Kayarks. We needed a solo rig for whitewater and a long reach expedition version. The result was the KY300 and the KY380.
The Kayarks have evolved into four specialized boats. You can choose from the two different hull sizes and then configure it for flat water or whitewater and for one or two paddlers.
With the addition of a rudder and foot control in the KY380 models, tracking and speed is phenomenal, even in moderate wind conditions. What's more, the rudder is retractable for running whitewater.
