Kaos - 'Playboat'.

Short, fast and dynamic The Kaos is everything a freestyle kayak should be.

Big Dog really hit the ground running with this new design; every aspect of the design was evaluated, tested, tweaked and re-tested before finally committing to production tooling. The Kaos features a fast, loose planing surface with efficient, clean releasing, rails and well balanced volume distribution to give excellent all-round freestyle performance.

Optimum hydrodynamic performance combined with a choice of four sizes, tailored ergonomics and Big Dog's positive control outfitting creates one of the best freestyle kayaks currently available.

Outfitting: - Vacuum formed adjustable thigh grips, seat unit and separate hull stiffener offer comfort with flyweight mouldings. Let's face it, you don't want to be tied down when you're learning to fly! Sectional foam footrest allowing easy trimming. Twin ratchet backband provides a well balanced, even tension and support. 2 Big Dog ‘mountaineering grade' drop-forged aluminium grab points integrated into the deck.

A good choice if you're using, or considering; Agent, Kingpin, All-Star, Project, Biscuit, Rev or any other high performance playboat.

About Me
Aged 45 and right on the weight limit (105kg 235lbs) and sometimes a little over depending on the time of year. Height around 6ft.

I have a large float boat for river running and coaching, just wanted something to paddle for fun.
Pros / The Good
Plenty of room even for big guy. I had a client in the boat who is larger than me and he found much more comfortable than the rotobat he'd been paddling in the pool.

Very loose hull, even feels loose on the flat.

Enough volume for river running, bounces back to the surface very quickly after running a drop. I'm used to old school playbaots that tend to go under features, the Kaos just bobs back up.

Easy to sink stern.

Nice seat!

Easy to store and transport a short boat like the Kaos.
Cons / The Bad
As with most playboats there isn't much room for feet. I can get my size 10s in if I wear surf socks rather than full-on river boots.

Bow tends to be a bit on the blunt side and is difficult to get down. Perhaps a cut away or pocket at the front would make bow stalls etc a little easier to start.
