A personal favorite for the BOGA crew on smaller mushy waves. The Hipster has incredible drive and responsiveness that make it surf like its about 3 inches narrower and 4 inches shorter than it’s true dims. The wide nose allows you to surf through slow sections and is great from nose rides. Out back the parallel outline moves into a hip reduction in the tail (the outline has pulled in hips in the tail area) which allows for Simmons shape like drive and speed but with quicker rail to rail performance.

Construction – Wood Sandwich Construction, 4 FUTURE Fin Boxes, 1 SINGLE Fin Box, GORE Vent, GOPRO Mount,

Don’t let the wide 32” width or this boards short length fool you, its ridiculously stable yet surfs the doors off performance shapes far narrower. Cut backs, off the lips, push its, this shape will allow you to surf better than you knew you could and still let you relax in the line up without falling in every 5 minutes. Pair the Hipster with small to medium sized waves (4 – 6ft) for maximum fun factor, surfs best in mellow or non walled up beach breaks. Perfect for surfers looking to move down to a short board shape without sacrificing stability. Dave Meyler, the owner and shaper at BOGA, with access to basically any custom shape, can be found surfing this exact production board about 80% of the time. Yes, it is that fun.
