We weren’t going to make an inflatable board until we could be sure to solve all the problems of inflatable boards. And we’ve done just that. Starting with the Streetfighter for the amazing shape, we have built an inflatable that is every bit as rigid as a hard shell board. The Combat is in fact two boards in one. The main board has high sidewalls making it easy to paddle and the construction method allows us to put high pressure into the board so it’s stiff as can be. Then we’ve taken it a step further, adding a carbon/glass exoskeleton to the board. This means that no matter how hard you paddle, the board stays dead stiff, and that translates to a board which are both easier to paddle and handle, and more performing. The floor is a separate board. In fact, it’s just that. It’s a surfboard. The fin is in fact attached to the push-fit surfboard and protrudes through a slot in the main board. This surfboard serves as a lowered standing area for stability and control, but when you get to a surfing wave, you can pull it out and then go out surfing, Yeah. We really thought of everything.
