So what.

Dagger designs have dominated the Freestyle circuit for the last two years. So what. Our consumers and our team are yelling for more. More of what you ask? Air. Air. Air. That's what they want and its Air that this year's new design delivers with the new Crazy 88 series. Our new boat delivers on more hull speed, a signature volume distribution in its deck, a hull designed to pop from the water and edges designed to allow a paddler to drive across a wave. Added to our outstanding hull design is our new outfitting system that is truly light weight performance oriented platform with new hull stiffening rail designed to provide paddler control and increased hull performance. Finally the Dagger team has partnered with Immersion Research to create an Overthruster plate for dialing in the Crazy 88's volume to get the best Air possible. See you up there.

Great boat, if you can find it, Definitely recommend it. I'd only trade it out for a Project X 56. :)

About Me
Reginald here; I have been paddling for over 5 years now. I have run creeks, surfed at the beach, but mostly kayak at the USNWC.
Pros / The Good
I tried this boat out on the Nantahala and within 10-15 minutes I knew I was going to buy it from the guy. It is nice and fast. I ran the Upper Gauley with it a few years ago and that was a complete blast. Last year I had the itch for a new boat and started trying all sorts of playboats (USNWC is good for this as there is always one to rent or someone who will let you try their boat)... after trying dozens of boats over the summer, I'd get back in my Crazy 88... and realize I didn't like the new such and such. The only boat I have tried since and like a little more than mine is the Wavesport Project X 56.
Cons / The Bad
I wish it was a little wider. I sometimes struggle to spin it (but I also weigh 200lbs). I also wish the bow turned up a little more as I often get a lot of spray in the face when surfing.

Note: I did end out replacing the flimsy foam with a much stiffer foam that has greatly added to the support and provided better control.

Awsome!

Ok like I said, I'm 6' 165lbs. I'm an intermediate paddler, and I've been paddling this boat since September last year.

I usually take this boat out onto the big waves of the Lachine Rapids (expo 67, or Big Joe), but I have used it on the Rouge river at some pretty big levels, and it did me just fine.

This boat is fast. I am able to catch the same waves that normally only the fast Riot boats that I see so often would have caught. It's also a nice edgy boat, with lots of carve to it. The only place that its lacking a bit is in its bounce. This is mainly because the stiffening system in these boats could use some work, but a little foam under the front pillar took care of a lot of the flex.

The outfitting this year is the best on the market. I've tryed them all (Riot, Necky, LL, and Wavesport) and none, except for Wave sport, compare to this system. It's easy to adjust, the pleasure pod works great and the sitting possition is awesome for keeping the legs alive and the blood flowing.

I really like this boat, especially on Montreal's big waves. A perfect boat for the intermediate paddler looking to try some new stuff, or a pro looking for a boat that'll do it all.

One Sweet Boat

im john and i paddled this boat on the stonycreek over new years i have been an avid playboater for about a year now. stony creek is incredible for river play infact it might be turned into an outdoor center a few years from now. anyways about the boat it has great edges for carving up waves as well as a lot of bounce. i am a little on the light side but it still handles great. the overthruster kinda seems like a gimmick to most but i assure you that when you are trying to loop it will kick your ass out of that hole faster than any other boat will. go out and pick this boat up thanks
john
