Just as its name implies, the lightest kayak in the stable Freedom Hawk fleet is the new Freedom 12 UltraLight.

Weighing in just over 60 pounds, the Freedom 12 UltraLight is nearly effortless to portage into remote lakes and ponds, or to lift onto the roof of even the tallest SUV. To substantially shed even more weight, remove the outriggers (just like our other models) and you're left with a lifting weight of slightly over 40 pounds!

Our patented inline outrigger system, which is also found on the standard Freedom 12, offers three positions. It paddles like a conventional kayak in the first position. Position two offers additional stability when fishing or rigging a rod. The third position fully extends the outriggers into their patented “inline position” for maximum efficiency when paddling, fishing, polling or motoring (with optional motor mount).

INLINE OUTRIGGERS:

Our PATENTED tri-position outrigger design gives you the best performance for every situation, providing optimal settings whether you're standing up or paddling.

STABILITY:

The traditional "Y" formation provides optimal stability. For stability and high performance paddling/polling, adjust the outriggers to their inline position.

TRANSPORTING:

The outriggers are easily removed for transport and storage. When removed, the overall length of the kayak is reduced to 10' and it's carrying weight is only 39 lbs.

Casting Brace:
Standing in a kayak has never been easier. Our Casting Brace provides additional stability for stand-up fishing or poling, and stores neatly in the recess of the deck when not in use.

Casting Platform:
This padded Casting Platform positions you high and dry off the floor of the boat. While it provides an elevated position for sighting and casting, the foam deck also gives maximum padding and non-skid comfort.

Two-Cup/Beverage Holders:
Keeping yourself hydrated is important. Store your favorite beverages in these over-sized cup holders.

Two Flush Mount Rod Holders:
Each Freedom 12 comes standard with two Flush Mount Rod holders, allowing you to effortlessly paddle or stand with your favorite poles in close proximity.

On-Board Storage:
The Freedom 12 offers all-day storage capacity for gear of any size. Featuring waterproof storage compartments on each outrigger and bow tank well storage for oversized gear, you'll have a safe place for all your tackle cases, decoys, photography equipment and diving or snorkeling gear.

Stern Storage:
The Freedom 12 provides two watertight storage compartments for storing essential gear that you need to remain dry and out of the way while you are working the water.

High-back Seat:
Although you'll likely be doing more standing than sitting, this high-back adjustable seat provides comfort and performance when you're paddling or relaxing.
