H2O Composite Canoes - Heritage Series

Welcome to the exciting collection of H2O Composite Canoes.

We are currently offering a four model lineup we call Heritage Series.

We have developed this line celebrating the rich heritage of canoes paddled in Canada. From the North American Natives who crafted the first dugout canoes to the pioneers who who developed wood strip construction, our Heritage series pays tribute to the history of the canoe and the gift which has become a fixture in the ultimate Canadian outdoor experience.
Our Heritage series is a collection of original H2O Composites designs and refined versions of classic shapes with many of the "Traditional" features and qualities of the past retained.

Each model in the Heritage series carries its traditional name proudly on its recurved bows as well as the silhouette of an animal that shares the characteristics of that particular model. Below in our individual model descriptions we proudly spell the name of each animal in the traditional native language paying tribute to the developers of the canoe who shared the earth with these animals and should always be recognized as having created one of Canada's greatest gifts to the world.

"Makwa" - The Bear. A Canadian icon, the bear is tough and steady going pretty much anywhere it wants.

The Canadian 16-6 is an H2O Composite original. This model's design embodies characteristics sought by paddlers for over a century. The Canadian takes the best attributes of boats built over the last 100 years and combines them to become the ultimate "Canadian" canoe. Low sheer lines reduce wind resistance, and our 2" shoe keel adds tracking capability. The flat bottom and tumblehome provide steadiness and maneuverability like no other Canadian tripping canoe. The Canadian 16-6 is your choice for an all around performer for two to enjoy the ultimate Canadian outdoor experience.
