Scooter and Big Wheel are the next generation freestyle kayaks designed by Shane Benedict.

They are the fastest shorties to date for Liquid Logic. Freestyle paddlers that "feel the need for speed" will love how they catch, bounce and crave waves. By extending the chine, reducing the amount of rocker, lengthening the planing surface and narrowing the hull Shane was able to gain the speed required for more high flying antics.

Sweet little boat.

Let me tell you about myself a little bit. I am a bigger paddler at 6-1 and 210 pounds. I have been paddling for less than a year but since I go two days a week I have already put 50 some days on the river so I am not a novice. I am currently paddling class III all the time and paddling class IV as well. Regardless I have bought and sold several boats since my initial foray into whitewater. I started out in a wavesport super ez and then bought a Perception Full Tilt and then a Riot Nitro finally I traded for the best play boat I have been in. The Big Wheel.

The first time I paddled the Big Wheel was on the Ocoee and it was a very solid little river runner but where the boat excelled was on the playwaves and holes. I was able to link ends and stall out both the bow and the stern with relative ease. The only thing you need to be careful of is if you like air you may want a different boat. But for hole moves it rocks. If you are lighter I would think this boat would fly but since I am at the top of the weight range I would think you would be ok. Regardless the outfitting of this boat is simplistic but functions better than any outfitting I have been associated with. You will be dialed into this boat in about fiver minutes with no tools needed but a screwdriver. I will say the only downside to this boat is the lack of footroom. If you move the seat back you will need to lean up to keep the stern out of sticky holes. But all in all it's a great boat.
