Blow the World Away! Mega Short RR's.

Review by Chris Harvey:

Short, Radical & FUN Pocket Rocket!

Despite its ridiculously short length the RR's performs incredibly well…
Take-Off: With plenty of nose rocker you can get away with some pretty insane take-offs. My first take-off I was up and planning fast and felt like I was ‘floating’ along the wave.

Riding: The volume in the rails and wide hull helps it to sit high in the water and carry speed through the turns. It’s a ‘pocket rocket’ so you need a pretty steep wave to really get the boat performing, but once you get going it feels incredible…it’s surprisingly fast and I was making sections that I didn’t think possible in such a short boat. On the wave the boat really stable and forgiving so you can trim the boat easily and glide around the wave, as well as making really aggressive, slashy turns. On a powerful wave this boat will fly out of bottom turns and off the lip…this is a BIG AIR boat!

Paddle-Out: The only downside to this is the paddle-out. With such a short boat and very little flat water speed, it’s easy to take a few beatings…but good for upper body training! It’s also pretty unstable on flat but as soon as you get up and riding it’s really stable and forgiving.

Summary:
The RR's combines the short playfulness of a freestyle kayak with the speed and carving ability of surf kayak in a way that I haven’t seen achieved before. Although essentially a surf boat, it’s short length makes it nice and playful. If you have a good roll and don’t mind paddling hard to get out back, you’ll love the performance of this and all levels of surfers will have fun
