Three years in development, the Nitro is built for performance touring. This board delivers maximum glide, stability and speed for fitness paddling, recreational racing, or flatwater touring. The Nitro’s displacement bow cuts through the water providing a smooth ride, combined with an innovative double concave planning hull that flows into a slight V in the tail. This shape provides stability, control and helps maintain an efficient stroke. Based on Slingshot’s Future Response Technology the Nitro is built with Carbon Epoxy Wood Veneer Sandwich construction. (CWVS). This proprietary construction controls the durability, flex and overall strength of the board without adding extra weight. The result is a proven, lightweight, impact resistant board.

CARBON WOOD VENEER SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION (CWVS)
Lightweight and impact resistant WVS technology uses an EPS core and multidirectional layers of lightweight glass, resin and wood. With the addition of carbon rails the result is a proven lightweight, impact resistant board.

 DOUBLE CONCAVE PLANNING HULL
Breakthrough hull design that allows for independent foot stability and increased speed, control and stroke efficiency.

 PIERCING BOW
Cuts and moves water clean to the sides for minimal drag and increased speed.

 SHED DECK
The deck literally sheds water that may come over the nose, providing dry, open and efficient area that holds feet for buoy turns and drop backs.

 ‘V’ TUNNEL BOTTOM SHAPE
Minimizes friction by reducing contact with the water to essential hull surfaces producing less resistance and more speed. Releases the tail increasing the rocker at the rail line allowing for easier turns.

 SQUARE TAIL
Provides surface and planing area to maintain speed and lift. Allows for more pivotal turns.

 FULL COCKPIT LENGTH EVA PAD
Comfortable, high density traction material with uniform support.

 VENT PLUG
Manuualy open and close vent plug to allow your board to 'breath' , equalizing internal and external pressure from heat and atmospheric pressure changes.
