It's glass, so it's not very stiff, but if you like that, and you don't mind your paddle getting shorter at a rapid rate, it's a very good paddle for the money.

About Me
Bought this paddle back in 2002. I made the mistake of buying a 0°, which is nice, but not for daily use, so I hardly ever use it. The one I had before that I used a lot, and lost it on the river, because it had my favorite color black :)
