Definetly try out the bent shaft you're going to buy in the pool or something before you drop the gobs of money that this paddle costs. I'd say that i'm pretty happy overall with my SHoGun though.

About Me
Class III-IV paddler. Mostly River running, some playboating.
Pros / The Good
The 'wing' type blade feels really good through the water. Screwing around in the pool you can really feel the difference. The ShoGun is really abrasion resistant. I've beat it off alot of rocks now and it hardly shows any wear and tear.
Cons / The Bad
I'm not sure if I'm in love with the Werner bent shaft yet... maybe with a smaller feather (i'm running 30 degrees) or something. It just doesn't feel quite 'right' to me. I really enjoyed both the Lendal and AT bent shaft paddles so I thought I'd like the Werner as well. Maybe it will improve with time?
