I am an ardent fan of beach-combing and expedition sea kayaking transports me to remote desolate beaches where I am often amazed at what I find, including this fully intact rattlesnake skeleton in Baja, Mexico. I put affirmations of safety and protection into the universe and never met a live rattlesnake thankfully. As much as I love being on the water in my Current Designs kayak, I equally enjoy exploring on land by foot. I fear the rattle snake but did not let my fear stop me from exploring. Current Designs Kayaks' own Vice President Bill Kueper was appointed the Chairman of the Paddlesports Coalition and will be working with other manufacture representatives on an advisory council who have unified behind one official trade show. “Our industry group polled a wide sampling of retailers to determine their show intentions and preferences,” stated Kueper. “We found broad retail support around a paddle-centric show. Our friend Darren Bush puts the Vision 140 to the test! 'I like how the Vision paddles. It accelerates quickly and has a nice, lively feel. The initial stability is somewhat less than the more stable boats in the fleet, but it has bombproof secondary stability. Personally, I like that feeling as it does make it easier to edge the kayak without fighting the hull. If you’re concerned about initial stability, just paddle it for another half an hour and you’ll get used to it.
