Just bought a pyranha i:3 but i'm not sure its the right kayak for me, it does feel very nice but i think its a bit beyond myself at this current time. What other kayaks do people suggest, I had looked at the inazone series also.
My main problem is rolling in the i:3, its just plain hard for me to roll consinstently and i would like something a little easier to start with.
Previous to the i:3 I paddled an old pyranha creek 280 which just pops right back up if you go under.
What do folks think, any suggestions?

go with a round hulled boat, like an
Dagger: RPM, Piedra, Animas, crossfire

Best case senario would be like a kendo or diablo. If you are under 160lbs see if you can find a Eskimo Kendo. That boat is awesome. Stupid easy to roll and a lot of fun to surf. It's also an awesome river runner or lightish creeker.

First boat i ever paddled was an rpm learnt all the basics in it was quite a cool boat all in all. I was looking at the redline that seems to be a slight step up but not too serious.

the only difference between the rpm and redline is the size. the redline is slightly bigger than the rpm. both are excellent boats for beginers, decide on which one to get by your size and weight.

also i could be wrong but i think the i3 is basically the same boat as the inazones only slightly more modern in design.

If you can roll an Inazone or another kayak, you can roll the i3, but you have to be more accurate and precise. I had an i3 and it was harder to roll indeed, but work/think on your technique and you will be oke.

I'm keeping hold of it for the meanline I think my local shop has no other boats to playtest i'll see how it goes in between now and then. I do like it but I feel I perhaps the leap from an old creek 280 to i:3 was a bit much but we'll see.
