New to kayaking 19 years 8 months ago #1020

I am thinking in starting to do some ocean, bay and lake kayaking. I have never tried it. I am 6' 193 lbs. What kind of equipment should I be looking for. I would like to compare single to a dual kayak, sit in or a sit on top, rudder or rudderless, etc. Can anyone give me some direction!

Thanks.

they 've always sad to me, never juse rubber at the ocean or big lakes, they catch to much wind, and that could be dangerous. Sit on top: easyer to swim when you like it and normally only for goodwether kayak. Sit in: always usable, from freesing to strom but you can't swim when you get it hot (learn the eskimo roll)

depends what u want to do and where u do it :) Sit-on-tops are good in hot weather just for mucking around. If your going on longer trips in the sea or lakes then a sea-kayak would be good.
