drytop options 18 years 5 months ago #10961

What would be the best drytop between 200 and 300 bucks?

Something from Kokatat as long as it is Gor-Tex. Their version of it, called Tropos, doesn't stand the test of time in my experience.

No idea what the IR full-conditions jacket sells for around there, but that's for sure the best drytop i've ever used! 2 solid hours of playboating in big waves and still dry thermo's, even after a full day on the river including some rescues and jumps.

Level Six - The Mack is pretty good. In my opinnion it's better than the IR Competition LX, exept for double waist which is slightly better in IR.

one opinion:
Palm in general makes solid gear. Extreme drytop has a good fit combined with sturdy material and enough of \"modern details\" for those who appreciate them. Better than let´s say Mountain surf, Peak, Yak, Hiko ;-)

IR = fancypants.

I wear an IR cag.

Very nice. Comfy. Dry etc.

I would reccomend it if you can get one on a deal somewhere :)
