Thinking of getting a Werner Powerhouse Glass Bent Shaft paddle for mostly whitewater also possibly some freestyle in the future.
Anyone got any opinions before I spend my hard earned cash ?

Also just read this

Not sure what to get now , according to Werner:

Sherpa:
\"Ideal for all around river running and moderate play boating\"

and the Powerhouse blade is the same shape as this only it has a slightly bigger blade.

Side Kick
\"Although the Side Kick was designed for play boating, its powerful blades are well liked by creek boaters as well.\"

Decisions, decisions. Also never even tried freestyle yet so that might not even be a factor !

Any advice welcome ASAP as I'm probally getting one of the above tomorrow.

Thanks,
Dave

It's just a paddle. Don't sweat it. A person can get used to anything pretty quick. Choose which one you like the look of. They both seem decent. I personaly like some thickness to my paddle blades. I used to paddle a werner twist, then I got an AT and broke it, then i paddled with a breakdown for a while, and I just ordered a mitchell rodeo.

I would suggest getting a carbon blade. They stand up to wear a lot longer. If money is the issue then pick the one that feels the best for you. If you blame your poor paddling on the shape of your blade you are fooling yourself.
