Hello!!

I have developed a new product together with a group of engineering students.
The product is very much like a folding kayak, but because of its special construction and very light weight, you can go on an outdoor trip for a week, with both the kayak and the needed supplies carried on your back.
The kayak has a shape like a touring kayak. It is 4 meters long and 0,55 meters wide. It is folded into a backpack in about 8 minuttes, and the backpack is 80 liters and has room for 70 liters of luggage.
The kayak is made of high tech materials, and it is both stabile and strong and has the low weight (8 kg) needed for the purpose.

What do you think of this idea?

Could you imagine your self going on a combine kayak and hiking trip like that, and where in the world would you imagine to go?

How much do you think a product like that should cost?

i~m starting a project also for my product design senior thesis. I~ve posted in the ^carrying those damn kayaks...^ thread. I too am looking for some feedback but i~m only just now starting to dive into the project. If you have anything you would like to share or any comments let me know. Also I can keep you updated once my project gets some momentum after i get back into the States from Brazil. Good Luck.

Tyrr Offline Elite Member Posts: 114 Thank you received: 1	i think that u can best try to sell your product at places where they have beautifull rocks beside lakes because u normal cant climb there. It should 'unlock' some rocks. Thinking about the 'fjords' in NZ and the lakes in Canada.
