Last descents... 18 years 3 months ago #12596

I was thinking to myself last night. People are always talking about first descents and thats awesome. I think it must be great to be the first person to have paddled a particular stretch of river, or waterfall, etc.

But there are dams being built all the time, and exactly where the best rapids usually are. One of these days we might be talking about 'last descents'. That is a pretty sad reality and I wonder what you guys (and girls of course) think about this. :think: :cry:

yeah i hear you, we have a great canyon that would flow huge all summer but what do you know the river flows underground for 4 miles instead of the beautiful canyon , could have been a great 4 but instead it's a zero,

all you californians better be voting against schortzenagiers propossed plan to build more damns

Yeah, it sucks. Anybody know what is going on with the White Nile? The last I heard is that the funds fot the dam kept getting \"lost.\"

yeah, i know this guy who watns to make a movie call the last river where its just a bunch of last decents. Cool, but defenitly depressing.
