Hi All,

I am looking at buying my first boat, I am a 6'0\" 12 Stone paddler who can roll, of a sort, in a pool environment.

I am wanting a boat to play in the surf and perhaps take the occasional paddle around the coast where I live.

I have come across a Wavesport EZ Big that seems to be in good condition and I think looks like the sort of thing I am after.

Any comments as regards this boat or alternative suggestions would be gratefully appreciated prior to me parting with hard earned cash.

Thanks in anticpation

Andy

Hi Andy B,
I wouldn't buy a used Wave Sport. The screws in the cockpit rim have a history of pulling through the cockpit. Here is a link about this discussion:

I would also look at Liquid Logic, Jackson, Riot, and Dagger before Wave Sport.

Here is a link to a SALE on Draggo Rossi's Fish Right (47%OFF ! ! ! ):

Last but not least use the Playak \"Kayak\" section and use the comparison engine, it's awsome. I used it before I decided to buy my Liquid Logic Vision 56.

Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.

Saddle-Up,
Whitewaterules

Check out a necky chronic if you can. It should probably fit, and they are supposed to besick surf boats.

If you fit in the Big EZ then it is a good boat. I have experienced the EZ and have never had problems with the screws. Someone of your height may also want to look at the Super EZ.

I also had a VERY used wavesport boat, and everything about it was completely bomber. The EZ is a fantastic boat, especially for a beginner. If you're getting a good price on it, go for it.

PS- I've known several people to have wavesports, and not a one has ever had a problem with them.
