Paddle Comparison: Werner Double Diamond vs AT2 18 years 2 months ago #12877

Both are \"play\" paddles, both foam core, both bent shaft, similar design. How do they compare in terms of performance and durability? I have heard that AT's break more easily, but I have also heard concerns about water leaking into Werner foam core paddles. I want a paddle that will wear as little as possible, and evenly when it inevitably does, has good power with little flutter, and is a pleasure to paddle with. I know that each has it's pros and cons, but I want to know what people think they are and how they affect paddling.

having tried, both, i persoally prefer the double daimond performance wise, it feels lighter and the blades are a little bit smaller than the AT so it doesnt get in the watter as much. They also stand by there warranty and will replace blades that break with a new one, if not the shaft. Im not sure about AT's warranty, but i like the feel of the double daimond slightly more. Both are good paddles, really just a preference thing.

Werner. Period. They make the better paddle. hands down. The Werner paddles are also lighter than the AT's.
