hi im doing some coursework on regulations and guidelines that kayaks have to meet hwile being built, i was wondering if anyone who knows amy sites or any infromatiuon could please help me

I think your best bet is to concentrate on a specific type/class of boat if you are allowed to narrow your research this much.

The ICF site has the rules and requlations of all disiplines on their site and these contain the allowed specs of different class boats

sounds like a mean feet for course work! Try contacting some of the boat manafacturers, palm are usually pretty helpful with just about anything also the guys at peak uk are a fountain of knowledge.

in the uk every thing must meet certain british standards. the british standards institute may be able to help you by telling you which ones appy to the manufacture of canoes. also the eu sets seperate standards which also must be met which are set by the european parliment but im not sure wat the proper name for these is.
