Is the Riot Turbo a Riverrunner/playboat or is it soley a playboat?

That kind of depends on your weight. I had a Turbo for a year and felt like I was getting a bit big for it (160lbs) to be a real good river runner. It handled class IV well as long as I kept it in my mind that it was a playboat and didn't expect any kind of super river running capabilities.

I switched to a DragoRossi Fish and it floats me better and plays better for me too.

Turbo is a cool boat. You just need to be the right weight for it.

I'm 5 foot 9 inches, 55kg and growing, would it be a decent riverrunner for me?

It will be a good river runner for you right now, until you hit over 65Kg.
The good thing is that the boat will prepare you for newer boats as people figure out how to make their boat really fast and carvy, and not just bouncy spuds in the future.
