Pedal boats, new idea 18 years 2 months ago #13282

Hi, still new at this.
I posted this message to the Australian locality to see if anyone knows about it.

I have been looking at pedal boat over the last few years and have come across a pedalled paddlewheel add-on for canoes called \"jetblade\", another one called \"pedalpro\"which is a pedalled outboard motor, \"mirage drive\"for sit-on-top kayaks, which can allow a hole through the guts of the boat for the mirrage drive to be inserted through, and front rower, which is a legged powered rowing system for long oars (too big and complicated for my liking)...

But now I've heard about a TV program in Australia, which showed a new one called \"PaddleMotion\" www.paddlemotion.com which uses your pair of paddles! It is pedalled with your legs but it paddles for you, two paddles alternating (one left and one right).

Apparently it is convertible and folds away if you want to paddle by hand and it's good for gaining speed to get somewhere quickly.

Has anyone seen it?
Any advice would be useful as I'm keen to get one, but would like to try before I buy. Thanks.

I'll post a similar thread in the Australia and New Zealand forum.
