Elbow pads 18 years 2 months ago #13448

Was kayaking today and got a brutal smash on the elbow and since i am hitting bigger and bigger stuff i think elbow pads would be a good investment. Can anyone suggest any decent elbow pads?
cheers:O

Go to the nearest motorcross shop and find the cheapest. Check if they are not to tight around your arm, and pay!
I have elbow pads from Hebo, and they are great. But a friend bought his for half the price at a motorcross shop and they are great too :O

Mountainbike shops are good too. Youll probably get better prices online. 661 race pads are popular but kona pads are a couple of quid cheaper and rather obviously made in the same factory.

Motocross body armor is also helpful on the big stuff.

I've got Thor, Quadrant elbow pads. Get something from a motocross shop. Don't buy on cost alone. Get a model that has good articulation. Make sure you can bend your arm properly. Some models don't allow much movement as they are made as one unit and don't separate the elbow and forearm sections.

Good investment without a doubt... Depending, of course, on the type of rivers you're doing.

Why stop there?? Why not go allout and get the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Look!!

or keep your arms inside the carriage at all times!

I have got a dianese suit from my dh racing days and for visits to the alpine play park of Morzine n Les Gets, Thhey work well an very comfortable and not too bulky! For paddling I havent really seen the point of armour but horses for courses

www.nrsweb.com has two sets of elbow pads. one for $45 and another for around $30. The $45 dollar ones look robotic... [img]
