Beginner Boat 18 years 1 month ago #13741

I'm looking to buy a good beginner boat-The inazone 242 was suggested to me as I'm a bigger guy, but they seem pretty hard to find, any suggestions for similar boats? Thanks

About how big are you? Im 6.4 190 and i paddle a jackson superfun and i love it its easy to roll and once you get good enough its still possible to throw it around and it runs rivers with ease.

You may want to look at a Riot Booster 60. I have one in stock that seems to fit most bigger guys. I tell my customers that if you don't fit in this boat, you may want to take up bowling! :roflol:

contact me thru www.eomkayaks.com if interested

Totally, go with an outlaw. Im about your size and this was a great beginner boat for me, I've used it for years, still a great river runner.

BTW, do you live on the west coast and need one, let me know

em, id go with something that you wont outgrow quite so quickly as the outlaw. id sudgest a jackson fun, as they are easy to learn but also prety dang decent playbaot wise. it might be a lttle tougher at first, but it will let you do more in the end without buying another boat.

I would also suggest something you won't outgrow quickly like the Fun. Other options are the Wavesport EZG and the Dagger RX (perscription). I have paddled all three boats and I feel that it really just comes down to personal opinion as to which boat is the best. For some they find that they fit better in the weight range of one or the other.
