Paddles with protective edging 18 years 1 month ago #13905

How effective are the dynel (at least I think it is dynel) edging that comes on the performance core Werner paddles and the AT2 paddles? Does it really help with paddle edges wearing down?

From watching the wear on some of my paddling partners blades compared to my own I would say yes for sure. I paddle about 3 days a week and my friend paddles more and teaches in the summer so is out all day and I have replaced my fg werner blades while he still uses his DD foam core. He is getting a new paddle but only because he wants a bent shaft not because of blade wear.
