You mean like ths:

I've got one like that and then 2 Palm decks that are the Kevlar ones but with the bungie cord. All are good I find. I cannot fit the Kevlar rand deck onto my Blunt. But any other non-keyhole type cockpits it fits well. I use if for playboating and river running.

I use the kevlar decks with the bungie cord for my Blunt. The one is about 2 years old, and has some repair work but still works well. I bought the second one because I need something new for my Scandinavia trip later this year. They have never popped. I am pretty satisfied with the Palm decks although Chris seems to disagree and say they leak.

This dude ran Thrombosis Falls the other weekend with us. On impact his deck popped. Why? Because his deck was crap. I'd rather spend good money on a deck and save myself a swim. He said his deck has popped several times. Paddling with a mate in the ocean on holiday, his deck popped twice. Not much fun for him. There are other excellent, probably/maybe even better brands out there too though. Check them out...

I used to own the rand kevlar deck and I agree with Chris. Leaked terribly on my Solo.
You also need to bare in mind that it was a deck designed for creeking so when you go playboating you won't get as much pop out of it as it is designed to take pressure and the way it does that is to be quite stretchy over the lap with a really tight cord. This is great for creeking as it doesn't implode/pop but looping won't be as big.

Sorry to bash your brand Ades, just my humble opinion ;)

Sweet, no worries. I find mine seal very well. They are pretty stretchy but I think like every other deck made of similar material ;-). But then again, a nice blow up beach ball in between your legs works wonder if you're playboating. Makes a massive difference for flat water loops. A less stretchy material would be good for playboating for sure. How's Snap Dragon? They look like they're up to the job.

I use SnapDragon and, man, they are fantastic. Hands down the best decks i've ever used. The implosion bar is the best feature and they fit really well on all the boats i use. You can custom order them to the size you want as well.

One thing i really liked with the Palm Rand Kevlar was the rubber tunnel, which sticks snuggly to the torso.

Yeah, that's a cool feature. Really grips well to the body or your dry top.

To answer your question Jayson: I have no idea how big the cockpit of the Super Fun '07 is but I would say, if you go for Palm, make sure you can put the deck on by yourself. The thick rubber rand is not that stretchy. Measure the circumference of the cockpit with a piece of string. Let us know how many inches or cm's around.

Decks do stretch and become easier to put on with age though. Wet is and leave it overnight on the boat a couple of times if it's a problem. This usually helps.

Those recommendations don't help us. Measure it yourself with a piece of string. I'm sure the cockpit is shortish and broad, which is pretty simple to put a deck on. If the deck is long and narrow, like a lot of creek boats, then it becomes tougher to put a deck on. Might be similar to my EZG60. Palm works in the old format. Like roto 4 is their biggest deck. They changed it recently so the old roto 3 is the new roto 4. My ZG54 and EZG60 fit the roto 4 nicely. Most decks fit most boats though, roughly speaking. :-)

THey make a roto 5 aswell! uber sized deck. The main problem I have had with kevlat decks is my main gripe. Kevlar is not very stretchy and does not protect the neoprene from crushing. As the kevlar is not stretchy they tend to pop alot more easily! Dry lips from peak or Nookie add extra material which again make them harder to put on but keep alot of water out and are very stretchy so do not pop on their own!

Nookie have some very cool graphics in their print my friend been raving about them (but he is sponsored) they look much nicer and the v shock ould be another option and they do a big deck!

The peak freeatyle keyhole I have ued on big deck boats inc h3, salto, blunt, diesels jefe :blah: :blah: :blah: much cheaper use it for creeking big vol alpine, playboating squirtboating and surfing, oh I abuse decks and have tested lots and still stick with the peak and its good value for money!
