LJ McClean loading up for a air blunt, 12b zambezi

what is the bulb on your deck there? looks like an overthruster, but it seems a bit extreme. or is it the helmet of a swimmer next to your boat? or does surfing just turn you on THAT much? :)

Jeroen, its the over-thruster from Jackson kayaks. A really good idea in my opinion, just like a beach ball except modified to fit a kayak.

I have managed to come up with a homemade alternative. Take an inlfatable beach ball (big) and inflate it mostly so that when your spray deck is on, the top is flush with the underside of the deck (and between your legs). Then take a non-inflatable type beach ball (much smaller - plastic) and put it on top of the inflatable one. Put your deck and voila. Works like a dream... :bounce:

yeah. sounds good. prob alot cheaper then buying the jackson overthruster. the only problem i fould with the beach ball method is that the ball sits really far back and onto your belly. i couldnt really move that well. plus i have got a small beer belly, not always a winner!!

The inflatable beach ball should be very big so that when it's in between your legs, the top must be level with the underside of your deck and it must NOT be fully inflated. (maybe 80 to 90%) This allows the non-inflatable beach ball to sit in a kind in a pocket and then it's very far forward. Works for me...

I'll take a pic or two after work today and post it.
