Dude it aint worth the effort, Especially on a plastic boat, the Chemicals in the paint will soften the plastic! (at the very best!) If you dont like the colour you can get a boat in a colour you prefer if it really matters to you!

Dont even go on about helmets Very bad Idea! If you want a custom painted boat or helmet get it done in the factory it will be composite not plastic and cost a bit!

Personally I would not get some random dude to do it even if hes done his and his friends it will weaken your Helmet/ Boat etc making it as useful as wearing a colinder on your head!

Most plastic manufactures be they kayaks or helmets dont even recommend adding stickers onto boats due to the solvent used in the sticking agent! but its up to you!

My friend paints FNA helmets regularly. I also know the owner of FNA and he says that there is no problem with painting on the gelcoat of a composite helmet. NHL goalies have their helmets painted all the time. I do agree that painting a boat is a waste of time as it will quickly wear off just from packing and unpacking your boat but a helmet with a bit of art is amazing.

I know exactly what chemicals i'm using and they are not harmful to the plastic in helmets or boats. I know boat painting wears off, but im usually painting top designs.

do you use airbrush and fine hair brushes? If so you should look into doing some work for a motorcycle shop. There is much more money in painting tanks and other metal parts on motorcycles.

Get those photos up online so we can see them. I always like to see what other artists are doing.

(I do strange stuff)
