Project 45 18 years 1 month ago #14464

I went to buy a project 45 today and found i couldn't fit in, i am in the middle of the weight range and not particularly tall. the length wasnt a problem but there was zero room for my feet depth wise. It looked as though the bow had been crushed and didnt look symetrical. Also the size up (52) looked like it had a completly different profile. Has anyone encountered this type of problem befor? with these boats or any other boat. cheers

This part concerns me :ask:

Perhaps you could post a picture?

Are you getting without shoes? Move your thighbraces around, seat adjustment, forward/backward? I've heard from another dude that they are tight. The smaller ones, that is. I've jumped into the 62 and it has loads of room, very comfy. But I suppose that wouldn't help you

I'm 5'10\" and 65kg. The upper weight range for the 45 is 64kg and I can fit in relatively comfortably.

Sounds weird! It definitely shouldn't be asymmetrical.

I dont have any pictures, (yes i was trying without shoes on lol) we tried moving the seat back at the shop we also tried jamming some foam in the bow and hot water to get out the dent, no joy. The guys at the shop were great, they're bringing another one down from carlyle for me to try out.
I had a sit in the 52 and there was tonnes of room for my feet, so i dunno might have just been a fault with that one boat, we'll see.
