Brennan's Wave Missoula, MT 18 years 3 weeks ago #14540

Does anyone know anything about the playpark in Missoula, MT (Brennan's Wave). Does it have a website, what are good water levels, local shop contact information? I might be going through there in May and want to know a little more about it.

Thanks,

Theron

I live just outside Missoula. The wave was made to be great at many different levels. I would contact Pipestone Mountaineering

Or Edge of the World

It's a great wave! Hope you have fun.

Hey guys,
Actually just signed up for Playak because I found this forum topic. I live within a mile of Brennan's Wave, and spend the majority of my time I should reserve for class...in the wave. It's a great feature, and as stated earlier, is great at a variety of levels. Mid May should be somewhere around 9000cfs, but you never can really tell.
There are three features to Brennan's wave on the Clark Fork, and they come in at different levels. It was designed so that the first and most known feature comes in up to approx. 14000cfs without washing out. It gets to only be a frontsurfing wave after 11000. The second feature is always visible, but only really fun after about 10000cfs. The third feature has yet to reveal itself, just because it comes in at such a huge level. It's a pretty restrictive wave...so I hear...but unless I've been told wrong every time I've been to the wave, those are the specs. The wave is very dynamic at a lot of levels, and I enjoy it thoroughly. I learned to roll last year, and the wave has boosted my technique and abilities tenfold. I really hope you come to Missoula sometime this May, so let me know. As said before, enjoy your time and surf...it's a blast. The contact information given is about the best your going to get for the wave, the wave is in their back yard, about 50 yards away max.

hoss, maybe you can add it to the map?

www.kayakmap.com/

just zoom in to the wave and double-click to add a link to a non-playak page, or a graffiti or so.
If you're happy, you're successful.
