Double Diamond Dent 18 years 6 days ago #14945

The face of my double diamond took a good hit on a rock that resulted in a pea size concave dent about 1/16 of an inch (3 millimeters) deep. I can also see a few hairline fractures in the surface that don’t extend beyond the dent… much like a small windshield crack.

Should I be concerned? If yes, can this be repaired with a dab of epoxy or by anything other method?

If there are cracks in the face I would recommend mixing up epoxy clean the blade with surgical spirit, and cover the area, for a smooth finish cover the epoxy with plastic sheeting let dry sand if needed.

if left as it is it will probab start taking on water throught the cracks

have fun and do it outside or in a well ventilated room
