Hey guys, just wanted to thank you for even helping ANOTHER thread like this. Im extremely new to the sport, can't quite even roll yet. Im trying to find a kayak to learn in but something still fun. I like the smaller playboat style and aspect but im a big guy (6'1/ 250 lbs) so im assumeing those are out of the question. I just went to the Rock Creek Outfitters here in Chatt. Tn, and they had me looking at Creek boats. Are those good, and how limited are they? I really want to excel in boating, the times i've gone have been fun.

Oh yeah and Rock Creek had me in a Pyranha Burn L, and i really liked it, didnt seem too big, but i wasnt sure about a Creek boat. Also im really wanting to spend 5-600 dollars as i am a college student.

Thanks again....

This is a pretty feeble reply as i've never tried out this boat...or even seen one for real...
But Maybe if you would like to do the playboating stuff...and river running etc...
Bliss stick scud? (Guys if i'm being stupid just shoot me down) I mean i've seen a few videos of it, and it looks pretty capable for hole play etc. and creeking.

But there are so many boats out there, your not too big to playboat, if that's what you want to do, you will be able to find the right boat. Jackson kayak do a huge range of boats for small paddlers to XL paddlers.

Hope that helps abit :ask:

So does everyone agree that i should look at the Fluid Flirt or Spice? I really like the Flirt... probably will go with that unless there are others you guys think i should look at.

The large Flirt and large Spice are both big boats. You will have zero comfort issues. Of that, you can be sure. Both are good, the Spice obviously being a better river runner. Send me your e-mail via a pm and I'll send some pictures through to you of the large Flirt from pic's I took this weekend, if you want. Running some creeky rapids at low water.
