If someone came up to you and said they were going to grant you the instant ability to perform any one move what would it be?
We haven't had a discussion of this sort in a while, thought it would be interesting.
The move for me would definately be the 'bread & butter' sequence, what about you?

Clean blunt - McNasty -combo.

can hit both combos so mine would be, casper to mcnasty

the casper is move straight from casper baby,
sitting front surf, 180 initiate stern than keep momenutm like a spuirt, basically a perioutte intiating with stern to air tricky woo land back surf, transition momentum to air almost like tricky woo but air wheel it when you come back over than throw in the mcnasty i haven't nailed this combo if i do ill post it but it is possible i have vid of the casper

Double airscrew dont know if its been done before or if its even possible but thats what would make it so cool!

A HUGE donkey flip. eeehhh aaawww eeehhh aaawww er, what?

Huge areal helix. If you can cet the air for that, you can get enough air for anything.

I do believe it's when some move and another move are linked together....(Not sure which ones..) and the boater makes it look as easy as spreading butter on bread, you might say...

The 'Bread & Butter' sequence is a combonation move starting with a Pan Am (though it seems people are calling it with Blunts these days) followed immediately with a back stab. The move was mastered first by Pat Camblin and he one the IR big gun with it in 05.

Bread and butter is blunt/pan am into backstab/back pan am, created by Pat Camblin
he called it bread and butter cause it uses blunts/backstabs, the 'bread and butter' of wave moves.



Ka Y is blunt/clean blunt into pistol flip, created by Anthony Yap


both are wave moves, dont let anyone tell you there's such thing as a 'bluntnasty' or blunt into mcnasty combo, its a blunt/pistol flip.

also, some people will try and say pistol flips and mcnasty's are the same move, but they aren't. each is an individual move.

ok here we go

basically, its like this,

the mcnasty is a two axis, two part move, initiated from a back blast, first the bow is loaded, and a 180 degree twist is executed, then, from the bow load a front loop is exectuted. two moves, each on an individual axis.

the pistol flip is a two axis, one part move, initiated off an edge transfer, moving down the face of a wave, that travels through both axis' in one motion, hucking around and over


to help understand the difference, it helps to think of traditional freestyle vs park freestyle in the sport of skiing, and the difference between a 180 front flip, and a misty flip, both moves accomplish the same thing, 180 degrees of rotation and a front flip, but are technically very different and unique moves.



some people over generalize and say that the mcnasty is a hole move, and a pistol flip is a wave move, but the differences are much deeper than that, and you can throw mcnastys on some waves and vice versa with pistol flips. its a difference in technique and execution, not feature type.

The move I would like to learn is a combination move consisting of a backstab into a helix.
Im not too sure what its called. I heard some of the top play boaters talking about doing it a while ago.

Dont lean back when you initiate;) Keep an neutral to slightly aggressive posture. The torque should be coming from your abs... Now go out and giver!!!!!!!!

My choice would be pistol flips both sides... I did some already but only offside (C1...hehe) and I am far from regularly nailing pistol flips...
