I somehow felt like this would be my question.
I´m a JD man my self, and might even say I take the occational swin just to get a drink from the bootie :)

I think you have to drink the local brew.
If you are in the southeast its gotta be moonshine.
in the UK it might be a pint of something.
In Nepal is Rokshi.
Maybe some Uzo, or Wine, or Bier, or Vodka in Europe.
Chile is wine, or Pisco.
Ecuador is damn I can't remember.
Mexico Tequila.
Costa Rica its Guaro.
Japan Sake.
What else?
Give me a drink and a country.

Bourbon and water, but I sure as hell ain't drinking it out of my bootie!! It's a must to try to local flavor of brew though as well.
