ZG 48 vs. Project 52, whats YOUR opinion? 17 years 10 months ago #16260

I hope I'm not getting on too many peoples nerves here.

But I was taking a look at the ZG 48, and it seems like a pretty quick boat. It carves pretty nicely, does well in holes.

Then... the site of the Project 52 caught my eye, and WOO!!! Now THAT is a bouncy boat, talk about air.

But how do these two compare otherwise? Why would YOU take one over the other, if you had to choose? Is there even THAT big of a difference?

I'd love to hear some opinions.
thanks guys

well, i haven't paddled much of either, but i'm really looking at getting a project. the zg is reportedly faster, but it's longer, which means you've got more stuff to move for a move. There's less inertia if you've got a project, and reportedly, the project gets off the wave pretty easily. And all the pros are paddling the projects.
