I have owned a few pfd's over the years and cant come up with enough good things to day about this pfd... it is comfortable, stays put and has yet to get in my way when paddling...Although i have not used the specific pfd you are looking at, i HIGHLY recomend Astral And they are eco friendly too

taliesin38 Offline Platinum Member Posts: 279 Thank you received: 0	The Norge might be a little long for a kayak depending on your torso length. I sell them at my shop and they are too long for some so make sure you try it on. The Aquavest is a great PFD.

Brown Beard, The Norge and Tempo series represent two of Astrals most popular designs. One thing to keep in mind is that the Norge is a more traditional style vest, that has a higher torso length where the Tempo (and Aquavest) are designed to ride low on the torso and offer maximum range of motion. Also, the Norge is made from organic kapok so it is super conforming, soft, and comfortable. I prefer the Tempo 200 and Aquavest series for whitewater kayaking myself as it offers the best range of motion for me. The Norge is awesome and is my choice for rafting, canoeing, or just swimming.
