RPM customization 17 years 9 months ago #16678

Couple quick questions I was hoping someone could answer in relation to the Dagger RPM....

- What's the difference in the interchangeable thigh braces? Tried finding a side by side comparison online and couldn't. Mine has the sticker on it, but doesn't have the marking stating which it is ('Aggressive' or 'Less Aggressive').

- In regards to the backband... any recommendations for an aftermarket one thats more comfortable and easier to adjust? While my girlfriend's stepmom has a GT 7.5, I haven't looked at the mounting yet (hers is at their cottage a few hours away) to see if possibly you could adapt the backband to fit an RPM??

Foam will work to help customise any boat. There are some useful links and I think Urge (Chris) knows a few. I have them at home on my favourites, I think. If you can't source a supplier then an orginary camping mat with do. Use a contact adhesive to glue the foam in. There are loads of tips, like do it when you have time, don't rush, test out what you've done on the water, use layers etc. Put foam so that it is under your knee/thigh. These blocks will go directly onto the hull of the boat. Thats what I do. Makes for far more control of the boat. You can lift with one knee while pushing down with the opposite when edging your boat.

There are many aftermarket backbands. Virtually any backband will fit a boat. You might just have to become a little creative in making it work well. Good luck and have fun. ;)
