Its from the USA for a start and i am based in the UK!

Yes i can see some similarities which might explain you naieve presumtious comment but in terms of our t-shirt designs being vaguely similar (like many surf t-shirts feature surfers on waves and skateboard t-shirts have skaters on boards.....rip off ?!?) ...

i guess its a case of \"great minds think alike.... and small minds seldom differ!\"

There are quite a few examples of people doing the same thing at the same time on different sides of the world without knowing of each others work.

At the end of the day the punters will buy what they want to and leave the rest.

You do get people copying other people work and making a mint form it.... There are a couple of very well known artists in the US who sold painting for £100's and then someone pointed out there designs were exactly the same as a jobbing desinger (who had originally done them).

In A global internet based world now ideas and concepts travel quickly but also similar ideas can be noticed a lot more quickly even if they are innocently done in the first place without any malice.

Humphrey Davy, Thomas Edison, and Joseph Swan are all credited as having worked on the idea of the light bulb at the same time...without any aware of the others work.

Nice designs are nice designs, no matter where they came from. The creative process is a strange one that cannot be easily defined. Bottom line is that the designs are cool, and I (personally) like the shirts. When I get into another productions run this winter, I'd like to talk to you guys about a possible tshirt for tshirt swap.

I like the paddle pirate. We had something similar though not as fleshed out as that one. I'll have to point it out to a few people here in the U.S.
We did a pirate theme raft mission (with all kayakers, pretty interesting) two years ago at teh Deerfield Festival in Massachusetts.
The Flying Spaghetti Monster guys even picked up on a picture of us and posted it up on their blog. Funny.

Getting the word out IS the most difficult part. Many people seem resistant to direct pimping of your wares (as if saying, "hey, I made a new design" is some form of trickery, silly people). But, just keep going and talking and the good word gets around. Those who like your stuff will certainly enjoy getting it.

Anvil just put out an organic cotton line of t shirts so there are now more choices for organic cotton besides just white and natural. The distribution is not that great yet, but I'm sure by next year others will follow along and the network will be much better, and we will all be able to offer organics to those who want it.
I'm designing for next year based on this assumption.

Keep up the good work. I enjoy the designs. Both of you should email me so we can do a tshirt exchange, and swap some business cards or something and help each other get further exposure in our respective home regions.
