Diesel 65 vs Mamba 8.0 vs Lil joe 17 years 8 months ago #16982

I've paddled a wavesport X on some Class IV water, and regularly paddle an EZG 50 on class III and III+ rivers all the time. That said, I just sold my X looking for a little more forgiving yet playful ride to paddle some bigger class IV water (New, Lower Gauley, etc.). I'm curious about popular opinion of the three boats I've listed. I'm personally leaning toward the Lil Joe but would like to hear pros and cons of the three comparatively.

Thanks for your input!

G'day mate i recenly paddled the liquid logic hoss and have had a good look at the mamba and i lernt to paddle in a diesel 75. all a pretty similar in the way they handle and all are forgiving and come with plaining hulls. i would steer clear of the Liquid logic family, getting boats out of them is like getting blood from a stone but that could be because i live here in Aus. i also found the plastic to feel just a bit to flimsy and week as if they went skint on the plastic to save on weight. also the outfitting is sh*t like something i would expect from a toy. i honestly felt like i was going to break the boat from the inside out. Dagger have good out fitting as do the Wave Sports and if you look at the boats side by side you would swear that Dagger had just nicked the design from Wave Sport. the Diesel were made in 2004 so are a little older than the Mamba also the Mamba have a plastic welded spine on the floor of the kayak to allow for movment of the seat this also works to keep the floor rigid. i would go for the Mamba out of those three have you looked at the fluid family or riot? like the fluid spice or riot thunder 65. when i doubt Demo

good luck
