Kayaking Semester Schools? 17 years 8 months ago #17413

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone here knows of any semester boarding schools you can go to for kayaking. I remember hearing of a couple a while back, but ive forgotten the name and i can't seem to find them again online. Any help is appreciated.

check out world class kayak academy. THey are pretty much the cream of the cream as far as paddling schools go. Give them an email through worldclassacademy.com and they'll send you a packet of info. I know several teachers and students who have gone there and I spent a day paddling with them, and there is really no comparison. Last year they went to mexico and china, and this coming year they are going to africa which should be a great opportunity to get there while the white nile still exists. so, yeah. check it out. I'd be going there myself if my parents would let me.

Hey,
You should deffinetly check out World Class Kayak Academy ( www.worldclassacademy.com ) I went there the last two semesters and I am actually packing right now to go start my senior year tomarrow with them. We are headed to Africa this fall/winter and Chile in the spring. There is Huge Experiences or New River Academy or whatever they are going by these days but World Class is the way to go if you ask me.

Huge Experiences' New River Academy 17 years 7 months ago #17586

New River Academy is the high school division of Huge Experiences and is an accredited college prepatory school.

I work as a teacher, coach, and administrator and am available to answer your concerns.

Here is a link to a couple of cool videos that the Video Media students made this spring in Chile:

myspace.com/hugeexperiences

Our website kayakschool.org/ has attempted to answer every question a parent or student could ask including: tuition costs, academic courses, athletics, destinations, scholarships...

This spring the New River Academy will return to Chile. It is our favorite destination as it offers clean waterfalls, play features, and a rich vibrant culture. Since, the New River Academy owns equipment there and has a well established network of logistics we are able to take full advantage of Chile.

If you are interested in the New River Academy then shoot us an email. I would be glad to introduce you to some students to check for yourself.

go Huge Kayaking,

David Hughes

Ps- Oh yea, we have a \"enter to win a free kayak contest\" for teens. Enter and we will at least send you our catalog. kayakschool.org/
