I am finding I am getting a large amount of pain in my left knee and I suspect it is due to playboat setup. My knees push fairly hard onto the side of my kayak with only a small layer of padding.

I think the issue is that my kneecap is being pushed out when edging, cartwheel etc.

Has anyone else had an issue like this and could suggest outfitting to help out.
I am reluctant to put more padding on right were my knee goes as that pushed my kneecap out.

Hmmm, maybe some padding underneath you knee (on the outside of the leg). Glue some blocks on the outside. Have you seen what I did to my creek boats? I can mail you the photo if you want. :D That MIGHT help because your muscles won't be needing to just keep the knee in the knee brace but can then also push down into the foam pads/blocks that you glue in.. I'll be willing to bet a six pack that it will at least help a little.. Or it might not help at all! ;-)

BTW Neil, you forgot to tell everyone that you're like 6'4\" and not in the biggest boat around. :ask:
