i have posted about this before with no replys so ill try again and expand on what was said before. i am wanting to buy a new boat. i currently have an inazone 242 and want something more fun. i have looked at the dagger juice and the pyranha 4twenty. i have been able to paddle these boats and they both seem very nice so if any one has any thing they know about these boats which may help me reach a decision that would be really helpful.

Please tell us how tall & heavy you are. That would also help. What do you want out of a boat? I am assuming a river running play boat? :roflol:

the problem is not really about my size and weight its more about is there anything to watchout for like poor out fitting with the two boats. i have paddled them both on flat water but would like to hear from people who use them alot. im around 6ft 3 and 80kg. i want a boat for river running and play but still be able to throw about in flat water.

hey dougie1,
I own a Dagger Juice 6.9 and am 5ft 8 and 60kg.
I love that boat. it's the 06 model and I bought it as soon as was released infact I was told I was second person in Australia to receive one.
The outfitting in the juice is excellent. Very comfortable and highly adjustable. The one let down is that the air pump's tend to die after 12mths or so but on the bright side they cost about $20AUS to replace.
The boat handles great in White water and make an excellent river runner. The plastic is great and while I've given mine a hell of a lot of hard hits and plenty of shallow runs it's still never leaked or given me any other problems of any kind. Infact around 2yrs ago I dropped of a 6mt waterfall backwards onto rocks and was pinned vertically. The impact of me against the backrest shattered the plastic backrest buckle (Rather than my spine) and I ended up against the back of the cockpit. The steep rocker on the front was my saving grace as the water pouring over the falls made the boat push back over me and roll out of the pin. I survived with a bruised back and the boat survived except for that one buckle there wasn't even a fold or bend or even dint in the tail from the landing only a small gouge that I smoothed over. Over all it has given me yrs of faithful service.:notworthy:
It's performance as a river runner is great and I've rarely missed a line in it, I've taken it on everything from 6 day expeditions in the Shoalhaven Gorge through to simple Surf. It's comfortable to paddle all day and it surfs waves well. Unfortunately cause I'm small it's to big for me to throw around like my crazy 88 but a friend of mine who was paddling it at Penrith WW Stadium almost managed to loop it and he's never looped anything else.
:blah:
Hope my ramblings helped.
