4 WEEK KAYAK COURSE 17 years 7 months ago #18098

I have 5-6 weeks holidays due to me next year and Im trying to find somewhere I can undergo a river guide/kayak instuctor course. There are plenty of week long courses but what I am looking for is maybe a month long course.I already have completed kayak instructor courses to intermediate level but want to use the time off I have to take my boating to the next level. Im flexible where and when i travel. Anyone have advice/experiences they can share ??
Thanks :ask::ask:

Perhaps give Simon Westgarth a shout. Maybe he'll be able to help you out..

Good luck.

Otherwise just head to somewhere like the Nile and by paddling with the other people there you'll learn a lot.. Practise makes perfect.

Simon's courses are supposed to be really good alright. I think they do courses around the Alps and Slovenia that might be more convenient/cheap than heading off to the States or wherever…

Wow you are sound like you are made for the season pass at the Futaleufu area with Exchile. The focus is to get to the kayaker to the next level on their paddling in four weeks. There are some links on this page of trip write ups from people that have actually done it. I know we could get the exchile office to actually give you some phone numbers ,if you wanted to talk to actual participants of the season pass from previous years. Several have actually gone on the Safari trip as part of their month long stay. www.exchile.com/KayakChileSeasonPass.html

You do not need to worry about anything except actually paddling every day.
you can have direct contact at: www.exchile.com/email.htm
