Zambezi ? 17 years 7 months ago #18196

Hi can anybody give me any information considering paddling on the Zambezi? I ll be staying in Victoria falls this January/February.
I would welcome any info on: playspots, transport issues, food prices, budget lodging etc...
Thanks

Try this:
thezambezi.com/

there are a few people on Playak that know the river well. I'm sure Scotty can help you out with more detail if you need it. Enjoy.

It is getting high in Jan already... I assume you know that ;)

Thanks a lot. Do you think it would be better to hit the Zambezi in December? Is the river worth the effort in Jan/Feb, as far as freestyle is considered?

Thanks again

January is high, there waves and holes at all levels to play on. But December is much better, so if you can go then

If you really want to cut out all of this sh*t guess work then email sven. he runs the thezambezi.com and will know everything about dates, water levels and stuff.

Enjoy your trip, your gonna fall in love with the falls and gorge!
