Hiya all,
I am about to buy my first kayak and need some advice on what to buy.

I have 2 years experience in the surf using a sit-on-top and am confident in big surf. I am having lessons to learn to roll so i can get myself a sit-in kayak to move my surfing up to a new level.

I really havnt a clue what to buy for surfing as there is so much choice out there.

I weigh about 190lbs (85 kg) and am 6ft 2\".

I will be buying second hand off ebay as i am limited to about £400

Many Thanks in advance :)

Im looking for something surf specific really but with the option of white water running if i ever get the chance. There are no good rivers down my way so surfing is the only option locally.

Thanks

on the all round front thers
eskimo kendo
necky jive

play boates theres
dagger RX
pyranha seaven 0
necky mission

plastic surf boats
mega mavrick
mega Xray (not veary easy to paddle out because of low volume back)
mega neutron
valley storm

comp surf boats
just chek out the valley and mega sites for info on theas

ps the surf boats are complety unsutabble for everythink but surfing and are veary unstable triky to use the older ones are genrly a little more forgiving.

it really depends what you want to do in the surf, if you want to carve up and down the wave and do surf specific moves, then a surf specific kayak is really your only choice. If you want to use the surf for more aerial oriented tricks, than any of the newere school playbaos should work fine
