Hello all, glad I found this site, full of great information!

I've recently gotten serious about kayak surfing and picked up a WS Kaos SOT last month that i've been learning with and slowly learning to roll consistantly.

I'd planned on eventually getting a SIK for surfing in the colder water during the winter and found a Necky Jive 8.10 right in my area that's only be on the water 4 times. From what i've read this is a great all around kayak, stable, easy to roll, and good performance. I wasn't planning on getting a SIK so soon, but it's a great deal for what seems to be a great beginner/intermediate boat, and it's only 10 minutes away.

I'm picking it up on friday after doing a test paddle, the guy has a skirt included but it's only a large tunnel size and I don't believe it'll fit me as I need an XL from the measurements. So i'm looking to get my own skirt.

I've been looking and am thinking about the NRS Drylander Shockcord. Any opinions on this skirt, or other options? I'm not looking to break the bank, but want something that performs well.

I'm also thinking about a dry top for the colder months of the year. I'm in florida so it doesn't get really cold here, is a dry top a good thing to have, or go with a semi-dry top?
