riot rope on seat 19 years 3 months ago #1904

Ive got a riot air 45 with a slightly older seat model thatn the ones they are making now. Behind the backband connected to the plastic are two ropes that loop around making them easy to grab on nad pull the seat back. Is this really the point or is there something im missing?

Ya. I've got a riot disco and on my seat I have two little ropes. There white and red. I think its so that if you want to take the seat out to change it then you can lift it useing them.

I've just got a riot air 45 2nd hand and the guy who sold it to me fitted some power seat or something to it just before selling it on and its got them ropes to . ?!?!?!?
But also im hadving real trouble trying to move it backwards and fowards to adjust and can't get it as far forward as i would like. Its looks like it's sort of on a rail at the back and got holes at the front, maybe the seat just isn't a great match for the boat... anyone else got the same seat and have the same problem or know how to sort it?

I looked into a power seat for my air 45 but didnt get it because the guys at riot said that it wouldnt work with the boat.
