Well it looks like you are not afraid to get an edge on, which you really need in a sea kayak only thing to remember is you stick in an outside edge.

Meaning to go left stick your right edge in to go right stick your left edge in. This is to do with the shape of the hull and its length. it is pretty weird to get used to and at first you will feel completly off balance. To home it in think of a motorbike, lean left go left in a Sea Kayak lean right go left.

Of course this becomes slightly irrelvevant when you are on the sea as you can wait until you are on the top of a wave stick in an adjustment easily as there is less boat in contact with the water.

Look out for a book 'The Complete Book of Sea Kayaking' by derek hutchinson, probaly get it from amazon, follow an amazon link from this site. I found this stuffed full of usefull information.

Forward paddling is really important to conserve energy and produce maximum efficency, get your torso rotation right, to practice hold your paddle with streight arms and rotate the torso to get the paddle in, check out marathon paddling technique to get this right. you want to be able to cover maximum distance with little effort using the biggest muscles you have, stomach and back.
